Job Summary
The Junior Settlement Analyst is responsible for executing physical OTC settlement activities across multiple products and trading regions. This role ensures the timely and accurate verification of trade details, pricing, and settlement data while maintaining strong operational controls. The analyst serves as a subject-matter expert within the Settlements team and is expected to provide guidance, drive issue resolution, and identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Act as a point of contact for Schedulers, Traders and Middle Office to ensure trade accuracy, timely product movement confirmations, and swift resolution of discrepancies.
- Review and processing of invoices for payment and receipt, ensuring compliance with internal policies and control standards.
- Perform pricing validation, settlement calculations, and issuance of provisional and final invoices.
- Ensure correct banking and settlement instructions; support the verification and onboarding of new SSIs in Fenergo.
- Prepare settlement packets for payment processing and cash forecasting, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor and confirm daily cash movements with counterparties; investigate and resolve cash breaks and settlement failures.
- Execute complex OTC settlement analysis, including reconciliation, invoice generation and settlement confirmations.
- Process FX settlements as required.
- Identify process improvement initiatives; contribute to automation efforts and support system enhancement testing.
- Participate in special projects, including new product onboarding.
Requirements: education, competencies & skills
- A business, Accounting, or Finance degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in settlements, trade operations, or a related back-office function within commodities
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, formulas, pivot tables).
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to work with little supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work hours to support global trading operations.
- Coding or scripting experience (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA) is a plus.
