Job Title: Commercial Director – Leading Printing Company
Overview
A leading printing company that has achieved tremendous growth over the last few years is searching for a Commercial Director to manage all planning functions in line with strategic business objectives. The newly developed role aims to deliver exceptional customer service while balancing commercial returns through judicious pricing, operational efficiency, material optimisation and cost control to meet profitability targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Planning function.
- Oversee the Estimating and Commercial Analyst functions.
- Lead Customer Services and estimating personnel; produce estimates and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Liaise with the Production Director to ensure deliveries of customer products are achieved.
- Attend daily meetings and communicate clearly across all areas of the business regarding commercial profitability and production capacity.
- Price estimates in conjunction with the MD and set price parameters.
- Review and improve existing department methods of operation.
- Implement effective changes across teams as necessary, working with MIS for support.
- Drive continuous improvement across all teams to deliver year‑on‑year gains in productivity and profitability.
- Facilitate personal development for self and team to maximise their potential within the company and for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within the printing industry.
- In‑depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and budgeting processes.
- Strong commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mindset.
