The role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll lead the analysis and design activity for medium to large‑scale projects within a portfolio of digital and business transformation programmes. Your work will support complex asset management solutions, helping the organisation make better, data‑driven decisions across engineering, operations and support functions. You will work closely with customers, project managers, architects and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and robust system designs. With a varied pipeline of work and evolving priorities, the role offers continuous learning, professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference to how nationally important services are delivered.

• Leading business analysis activities across medium to large‑scale transformation projects
• Capturing and managing detailed requirements, producing functional and solution specifications
• Modelling business and information systems, delivering high‑quality design documentation
• Building strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted partner to customers and delivery teams
• Supporting project delivery, working closely with project managers and technical architects

The role is full time, 35 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.

Essential Experience

• Strong experience in requirements capture and requirements management
• Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, including agile and waterfall delivery
• Proven capability in business and information modelling, including entity relationship and class models
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Confidence applying IT solutions to solve complex business problems

Qualifications

• Degree‑level qualification in an IT‑related discipline, or equivalent proven professional experience
• Professional business analysis certifications are advantageous
