Staff work on a rota basis according to service need. Staff will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including a Saturday or Sunday each week (Sundays from September onwards).
Area based staff will work at all libraries across each area, and may work at any library across the city from time to time according to service need. Central Library staff will be based in Central Library but may sometimes need to work citywide according to service need.
6.7% Flexibility Payment (Full‑Time roles only) & Casual Car User Allowance.

The Neighbourhood Engagement and Delivery Officer (NEDO) is a library manager role focused on community engagement. In each of our areas, a team of NEDOs manages staff, library buildings, and all services delivered from the libraries.
In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
Pre‑employment checks will be conducted depending on the role applied for.
