We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join Kier Design supporting our A417 Missing Link project team based in Gloucester. Location: Gloucester - site based, with some working from home opportunities. Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. Responsibilities

• Leading all environmental management and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to DCO and EMP commitments


• Working collaboratively with designers and construction teams to minimise environmental impacts


• Overseeing the implementation of the project's One Planet Action Plan and promoting sustainable solutions


• Obtaining necessary environmental permits, licences and consents in a timely manner


• Providing guidance, support and training on environmental issues to the wider project team

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science/sustainability (or equivalent) and Chartered or a Practitioner member of ISEP working towards Chartership


• Demonstrable experience leading environmental management on large construction projects


• Excellent knowledge of UK environmental legislation and a good understanding of various environmental issues


• Confident communicator who can translate technical information clearly to different audiences


• Enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders while being comfortable taking initiative
