Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager – London

Location: Union Street, London (travel to local depots required and some remote working). Hours: Permanent, Full-time 40 hours per week – flexible options available. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We are looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to join our London Highways team. You’ll help keep people, goods, and equipment moving safely while making a real difference to communities across London.

Responsibilities

• Lead SHE activities across London sites, ensuring legal compliance and best practice standards.
• Develop and implement SHE strategies that improve performance and create positive outcomes.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk reduction.
• Coach and mentor operational teams to embed a strong safety culture throughout the business.
• Manage ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems whilst collaborating with clients on innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• IOSH membership and a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety.
• Proven experience in a similar SHE role with strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience in temporary traffic management and highways projects.
