Energy Trading Lawyer 6 Month Contract

Leading oil company is seeking an experienced energy trading lawyer. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Contracts and with a dotted line to the Head of Legal for EMEA, you will take responsibility for all oil trading and the trading of refinery products.

\n\n

Key responsibilities will include:

\n\n

\n\t
• Sole European legal support for physical trading teams
\n

\n\n

\n\t
• Review and draft  storage agreements, private and public tenders and contract terms
\n

\n\n

\n\t
• Mentored and provided ongoing training to contracts administrators on complex UK and international deal terms, enhancing their understanding of legal risks and negotiation strategies
\n

\n\n

\n\t
• Negotiated high-value aviation fuel supply
\n

\n\n

Lead negotiations on complex procurement and outsourcing agreements, including service contracts with hauliers and into-wing refuellers, collaborating closely with procurement and operations teams to achieve optimal commercial outcomes and upskill non-legal colleagues on contractual issues like TUPE, GDPR, liability and termination provisions
