An elite US law firm is seeking a Privacy Counsel to join their well-established compliance team.

Role Summary

\n\n

 

\n\n

The Privacy Counsel will support the organisation's global data protection and privacy compliance framework, working closely with senior legal and compliance stakeholders.

\n\n

 

\n\n

 

\n\n

You will act as a key point of contact for privacy-related issues and contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of the organisation's privacy programme.

\n\n

 

\n\n

 

\n\n

Advising on privacy and data protection issues arising in commercial contracts, supplier arrangements, and internal projectsSupporting assessments of privacy risk across new initiatives, vendors, and operational changesAssisting with privacy compliance monitoring, reviews, and governance activitiesKeeping up to date with developments in global privacy laws and supporting implementation of necessary changes

Candidate Profile

\n\n

 

\n\n

Qualified lawyer with approximately 4-7 years' relevant experienceStrong grounding in data protection law, ideally including practical application of UK and EU GDPRExposure to international privacy frameworks (e. US or other global regimes) is an advantageExperience working on contracts, advisory matters, or compliance-focused privacy work
