\nThere is a retrain opportunity for talented defendant EL/PL solicitors or chartered legal executives with previous multi-track experience and a keen interest in defendant clinical negligence work.

This role offers a transition into high‑quality NHS related clinical negligence work while continuing to develop their technical and client‑facing skills.

\nYour new role
\n
\nThis Clinical Negligence Associate role will see you:
\n\n
\n\t- Managing a caseload of EL/PL and clinical negligence files
\n\t- Drafting detailed reports for key healthcare clients
\n\t- Conducting witness interviews and preparing comprehensive witness statements
\n\t- Instructing medical experts and counsel
\n\t- Attending CMCs, interim hearings, mediations and trials
\n\t- Negotiating settlements and conducting conferences with counsel
\n\t- Supporting colleagues on higher‑value and complex claims
\n\t- Opportunities to undertake client secondments with NHS bodies
\n\t- Delivering client training, presentations and drafting articles
\n\t- Supervising and coaching junior team members
\n

\n
\nWhat you'll need to succeed
\n
\n\n
\n\t- NQ+ qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive (full litigation rights required)
\n\t- Defendant EL/PL experience (preferred)
\n\t- Clinical negligence exposure advantageous but retrain supported.
\n\t- Ability to work effectively independently and within a growing, hybrid team
\n\t- Strong appreciation of client protocols, KPIs and service expectations
\n\t- Excellent drafting, communication, and organisation skills
\n\t- High attention to detail and proactive, pragmatic approach
\n\t- Commitment to data security and professional standards
\n\t- Evidence of meeting hours/targets
\n
