Family Solicitor to Associate (2+ PQE) – Nottingham – Legal 500 Firm – Excellent Employee Satisfaction – £40,000 to £75,000

The role
- Assisting and working closely with senior team members on a varied family caseload
- Exposure to mid to high-net-worth financial remedy work, alongside children matters and cohabitation/TOLATA disputes
- Supporting on and progressing matters including pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation arrangements
- Drafting, reviewing and analysing a wide range of legal documentation
- Advising clients clearly and sensitively, ensuring they feel supported throughout what are often difficult circumstances
- Identifying legal risks, analysing issues and contributing to effective, practical solutions
- Handling client queries and correspondence in a proactive and timely manner
- Undertaking legal research where required
- Supporting business development initiatives and helping to grow the team’s presence in the market
- Assisting in the supervision and development of junior colleagues

- Maintaining accurate time recording, billing and contributing to financial targets
You- Qualified Solicitor or MCILEX/FCILEX with at least 2 years’ PQE in family law
- Comfortable assisting on a broad range of matters including finances, children work and cohabitation disputes
- Able to manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced but supportive environment
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with a genuine appreciation for the sensitivity required in family law
- Detail-oriented, organised and proactive in your approach
- A team player who can also work independently when required
- Interested in developing technically while building long-term client relationships
