Interim Head of Commercial Finance - 12 month FTC
A fast-growth SME in the FMCG sector is looking for an Interim Head of Commercial Finance for a 12-month engagement based in London. This role comes with great exposure to senior leadership and reports directly into the CEO. You'll need to be someone who thrives equally presenting in board meetings but also getting stuck into the detail and managing a small team.
The role
- Lead commercial finance across the business, including pricing strategy, promotional planning and joint business plan support with retail partners
- Own cash flow forecasting and management during an active fundraising and investment period
- Provide commercial analysis and strategic advice directly to the CEO and wider leadership team
- Represent finance in board and investor meetings as required
- Work closely with a small but capable finance team, including a Group Financial Controller and senior finance analysts covering UK and international markets
- Drive financial insight and decision-making support across a lean, high-ownership environment
About you
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial finance background — FMCG or consumer goods experience essential
- Genuine hands-on cash flow management experience, not purely FP&A or consolidation
- Comfortable operating without a CFO and presenting to founders, board members and investors
- Not purely a group roll-up or consolidation background — this role requires someone who has worked in smaller, commercially-driven environments
