You will initially work as part of our dedicated team focused on providing Subject Access Requests (SARs) to members of the public for Adult and Children’s Services. By doing this you will help the team comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act (2018) by delivering the SARs within a defined timescale.
There are two roles available – 37 or 30 hours per week. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to support a good work‑life balance, such as working four days (7.5 hrs per day, plus a 30‑minute unpaid break) or shorter daily hours.
As you become more established you may also support other Information Governance processes, such as Freedom of Information and Right to Rectification requests.
You will work closely with colleagues across all branches of the Children’s Services and Adult Health and Care Directorates, as well as with colleagues from the wider County Council and other partners.
The core function of your role will be to work on SAR disclosures by reading and redacting Children’s and Adult records according to exemptions within the legislation. Training will be provided.
You will be process‑driven, with an eye for detail, a good communicator, and with excellent ICT skills.
We offer a flexible, motivating and inclusive workplace, where talent is recognised and developed. We create an environment that empowers you to be your best and believe in teamwork where people can grow.
