About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Operations Director to lead the delivery of repairs, maintenance, planned works, and retrofit services across a portfolio of social housing contracts in the South East.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality, compliant, and commercially successful service delivery. You will oversee multiple contracts, lead operational teams, and build strong relationships with housing association and local authority clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance, and retrofit programmes
- Drive performance across multiple contracts, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and client expectations are consistently met
- Oversee compliance across all works (gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, building safety)
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with housing associations and local authorities
- Lead and develop high-performing operational teams across multiple regions
- Ensure commercial performance, cost control, and contract profitability
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement and service transformation initiatives
- Support business growth, mobilisation of new contracts, and strategic planning
- Work closely with senior leadership on financial forecasting, risk management, and operational strategy
About You
- Proven senior leadership experience within a social housing contractor or property services environment
- Strong background in repairs, maintenance, planned works, or retrofit delivery
- Excellent understanding of compliance and statutory requirements in social housing
- Track record of delivering operational performance across multiple contracts or regions
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and driving profitability
- Confident managing client relationships at senior level
- A hands‑on leader who can balance strategy with operational delivery
