Role Overview
We are seeking a Structural Inspection Engineer on a contract basis to support inspection and asset integrity activities within a large industrial facility. This role is suited to early‑career to mid‑level engineers with some site experience looking to develop hands‑on inspection skills. A valid Safety Passport (e.g., CCNSG) is essential for site access.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and support inspections of steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
- Assess condition of industrial assets such as buildings, pipe racks, platforms, and foundations.
- Identify and record defects such as corrosion, cracking, and deterioration.
- Prepare inspection reports with photographs and findings.
- Carry out basic structural checks and support repair recommendations.
- Work with site teams and follow all health & safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate inspection records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Site or inspection experience (industrial preferred but not essential).
- Basic understanding of steel and concrete structures.
- Able to read drawings and produce simple reports.
- Strong health & safety awareness.
- Valid Safety Passport – mandatory.

- Work pattern: Split between site and remote work – several weeks on‑site for inspections, followed by remote work for reporting and assessments.
