The Role

We are looking for a Portfolio Manager with excellent credit analysis skills and strong communication and problem-solving capabilities to join our team of finance experts in aviation and travel. The Aviation & Travel Finance (ATF) function’s activities are diverse and broad in scope. The role is concerned with the financial sustainability of the aviation and travel businesses that the CAA regulates, including financial supervision and regulatory compliance of the 100 leading tour operators under the ATOL consumer protection scheme, as well as financial oversight of UK-registered airlines and companies operating in the space industry. You will advise the credit committee and/or CAA senior management on the financial sustainability of the companies in your portfolio, outline key issues, and recommend licensing conditions appropriate for the company’s risk profile.

Responsibilities

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for assessing and monitoring your portfolio of companies (up to 15) by conducting both qualitative and quantitative in‑depth analysis and maintaining oversight of compliance against the legislative and policy framework. The outcome of your analysis will be used to advise the credit committee and CAA senior management on the financial sustainability of these companies.
