A well-established, family-run engineering business operating in the M&E side of the building sector is seeking a commercially driven Sales Leader to take ownership of its next growth phase.
With a solid reputation and a capable, experienced sales team already in place, the business is now looking for a dynamic individual to provide direction, sharpen strategy, and unlock larger-scale opportunities.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with a clear mandate: manage and develop an established team while personally driving the acquisition of high‑value clients - particularly main contractors - across both lapsed accounts and new business.
The Role
- Lead, mentor, and energise a small but capable sales team.
- Define and execute a clear sales strategy focused on growth and market expansion.
- Re‑engage lapsed clients while proactively targeting new, high‑value opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with main contractors and key decision‑makers.
- Take ownership of major tender submissions, ensuring quality, competitiveness, and alignment with client needs.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery from bid to project completion.
The Candidate
- Proven success selling into the M&E sector within the construction or building services industry.
- Strong experience working with main contractors.
- A track record of securing large‑scale contracts and managing complex tender processes.
- Leadership capability, with the ability to motivate and guide an established team.
- Commercial acumen and a strategic mindset, balanced with a hands‑on approach.
