The role

We are hiring a Head of Legal to lead the Physitrack Group legal function. You will own legal across the Group, including commercial, corporate, employment, data protection, regulatory, medical device, IP, and disputes, across the UK, EU, United States and beyond. You will lead a small in-house team and run our panel of external counsel.

This is a senior in house role at a genuine inflection point. You will advise the CEO, CFO, COO and the Board on real questions with real consequences, and build the legal foundations for a listed health tech group scaling rapidly into the US.

About You

You will be a UK qualified and US experienced lawyer. You will be comfortable being uncomfortable as you scale with a fast-growing company. You will be able to successfully advise on finely-balanced decisions which enable entrepreneurial success with a high degree of risk tolerance, whilst ensuring a high degree of propriety and ethics.

This may be your first Head of Legal role as you move in-house or act up for the first time. You will be supported and stretched by an ambitious leadership team and business, which has a mission to elevate the world’s wellbeing.

In exchange, you will expect transparency and adult-adult relationships where you are expected to deliver outcomes in a diffuse operating model. Your colleagues will constantly support and champion you as you grow with the company.

You will understand that it’s important you look after your own wellbeing - knowing that you will need to re-charge so that you have high levels of resilience. This means both being available when the business needs you as well as setting your own boundaries.

Lastly, you will be a team player. The legal function exists to enable the CEO and our company - as an enabler you will be there to find solutions for others, and quickly.
