Customer Service Specialist – Vehicles

Express Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established, family-owned vehicle hire business based in the East Midlands, as they look to recruit a proactive Customer Service Specialist to join their busy Derby branch.

This is a customer-facing role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support across rental operations, ensuring a smooth and professional service from initial enquiry through to vehicle return.

In return, there is a salary of c£28,500 on offer, and the opportunity to join a stable and growing business within a supportive team environment, hands‑on training, and the chance to develop within a varied and operational role focused on customer service excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Good customer service skills with a confident and professional manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Competent IT skills, including use of email and Microsoft Office
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
• Handle customer enquiries in person, by phone and via email, providing rental support and advice
• Complete rental agreements, documentation checks and security procedures accurately
• Support vehicle preparation, checks, deliveries and collections as required
• Assist colleagues across the branch to ensure smooth daily operations
• Resolve customer queries or issues to ensure a positive rental experience
