About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Director to lead and grow their hydroecology service offering. This is a strategic leadership role, providing the opportunity to shape technical direction, influence industry standards, and deliver innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. Hydroecology plays a critical role in climate resilience and ecosystem protection, and this position offers a platform to drive meaningful, measurable impact across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategy for hydroecology and water management
- Provide thought leadership through publications, conferences and industry engagement
- Lead innovation and research initiatives, collaborating with academic and industry partners
- Champion technical excellence, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Mentor and develop technical teams, supporting capability growth
- Lead strategic project delivery and act as Project Director on key commissions
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships and frameworks

Eligibility
- Degree (BSc and/or MSc) in ecology, environmental science or related discipline
- Chartered Environmentalist (or equivalent professional accreditation)
- Right to work in the UK
