Are you a people‑person who knows your way around Group Protection insurance? We're on the lookout for someone who can bring their hands‑on experience in Group Life, Group Income Protection, and Critical Illness to the table — not just as a subject matter expert, but as a true business partner.
This is a non‑technical, stakeholder‑facing role, perfect for someone who thrives in collaborative environments and wants to drive real change across insurance operations and customer outcomes. You'll get to work alongside teams from Underwriting, Claims, Operations, and Distribution, helping to shape and deliver projects that really matter.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: You’ve worked as a Business Analyst in the insurance sector, specifically with Group Protection/Group Risk products (think Group Life, GIP, Group Critical Illness), ideally within a UK life insurer, broker, or employee benefits provider.
- Insurance Know‑How: You get the ins and outs of end‑to‑end insurance processes— from product development to claims—and you can translate business requirements into clear, actionable insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You’re comfortable running workshops, leading conversations, and building strong relationships across departments. Your communication skills are top‑notch, whether you’re talking to the C‑suite or the claims team.
- Documentation Skills: Writing BRDs, mapping processes, and performing gap analyses doesn’t faze you—you know how to produce clear, high‑quality documentation that everyone can understand.
- Regulatory Awareness: You have exposure to regulatory frameworks (FCA, Consumer Duty, etc.) and how they impact Group Protection products.
- Process Improvement: You’re familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methods, and you’re happy working in Agile or transformation‑focused environments.
- UAT & Change: You’ve supported User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and have a nose for spotting when solutions truly meet business needs.
- Have hands‑on experience with regulatory change programmes.
- Can demonstrate tangible improvements you’ve delivered in previous roles.
- Enjoy working in a hybrid environment (London or Brighton base).
Summary
We want someone who can hit the ground running, use their Group Protection insurance expertise to make a real impact, and who gets excited about improving processes, delivering great customer outcomes, and working collaboratively. If you’re proactive, great with people, and passionate about insurance, this could be the perfect fit for you!
