HGV Mechanic

Role: HGV Mechanic
Location: Ballymena
Hours: Full Time (Week 1: MonFri 8am6pm | Week 2: MonSat 8am6pm)
Pay: £35,000 - £50,500

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experiencedHGV Mechanic to join a busy and well-established workshop environment.

ThisHGV Mechanic role is ideal for someone hands-on who enjoys working on heavy vehicles, carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics to keep fleets running efficiently.

The Role:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
• Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and electrical repairs
• Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Complete routine maintenance and preventative servicing
• Maintain accurate job records and reports
• Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
• Follow all health and safety procedures

The Requirements:

• Experience as anHGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge
• Experience working on commercial vehicles or heavy plant
• Relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent desirable
