Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role based in Wickham Common for a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the Trust, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and advising on financial strategies. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, preparing financial reports, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring efficient use of resources to promote the Trust's educational goals. The role requires collaborative work with senior leadership, stakeholders, and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance and managing audits effectively
• Exceptional strategic thinking and financial planning capabilities
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial data to various stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-academy trust context while adhering to shared values and goals
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) and prior experience in finance leadership roles
• Knowledge of the UK education sector or experience in public sector finance is advantageous
• Efficiency in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and operating within a dynamic setting
• Experience of working in a complex organisation and in an educational setting is desirable.
