Are you an experienced Legal Secretary or Administrator ready to take the next step into team leadership?

We're recruiting for a well-established national law firm in Manchester seeking a Senior Legal Administrator / Team Supervisor to lead a small team within their highly regarded Private Client department. If you're someone who loves keeping operations running smoothly, supporting others, and bringing structure to a busy legal team — this could be the perfect next move.

About the Role:

You'll manage a team of six experienced legal administrators and be a key point of contact for keeping the day-to-day support function efficient and effective. The role is hands-on, combining leadership with practical administration duties.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervising and supporting a team of legal support staff
• Overseeing file openings/closures, compliance checks, and billing
• Liaising with fee earners and management to ensure smooth operations
• Managing payment processing, documentation, and deadlines
• Helping the team prioritise and stay on track in a busy department

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a legal administrative or secretarial role
• Previous responsibility for mentoring, supervising, or managing others
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, approachable attitude
• Knowledge of legal processes, billing systems, and compliance (Private Client experience is a bonus, but not essential)
