We are recruiting a Kitchen Auditor at Caerphilly County Borough Council. Working hours: 37 hours per week. Contract type: permanent, full time, term time only (39 working weeks). Location: Ty Penallta/Various Locations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
Salary: £23,221 - £24,751 Grade 5 (SCP7 - SCP11) (£26,403 - £28,142). We also offer access to training and development opportunities.
As a Kitchen Auditor, you will work independently across multiple sites, carrying out scheduled and unannounced audits to ensure compliance with food safety legislation, hygiene standards, operational procedures, and quality expectations. You will provide constructive feedback, support staff to maintain excellent standards, and help drive continuous improvement across the service.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, confident, and able to manage their own workload effectively while building positive working relationships with catering teams, headteachers, and kitchen staff. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with integrity and professionalism are essential.
Access to a vehicle and the ability to travel across the county borough is essential.
