Role Summary

The post provides support for local Principal Investigators conducting Clinical Trials within NHS Lanarkshire, facilitating recruitment, managing clinical trial data, and maintaining adherence to the Clinical Trials Protocols under the supervision of the Clinical Trials Practitioner and/or the Principal Investigator.

Key Responsibilities

In collaboration with the Principal Investigator, the Clinical Trials Practitioner and colleagues, the post holder will assist with establishing and conducting Clinical Trials within NHS Lanarkshire. Under the supervision of the Clinical Trials Practitioner, the post holder will provide key support to local Principal Investigators in accordance with the following regulatory frameworks:

The post holder will carry out all delegated Clinical Trials duties as defined in the Clinical Trials Protocol and recorded in the Study Delegation Log. They will also provide the local R&D Department and relevant national and regional bodies with summary information on trials, including regular monthly reporting of recruitment figures. Additionally, the post holder will develop effective strategies to improve recruitment, including identification, screening and recruitment of eligible patients.
