A senior leadership role shaping how housing expertise is embedded within adult mental health services, reducing homelessness and improving recovery outcomes across Sussex.

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced Housing Team Lead to oversee and develop our specialist housing service within Adult Mental Health Services. This is an influential system-facing role focused on ensuring housing is recognised as a core part of recovery, discharge planning and long-term wellbeing.

About the role

As Housing Team Lead, you will provide operational leadership and professional supervision to a specialist housing team working across inpatient and community pathways. You will maintain oversight of complex and high-risk cases, ensuring timely and effective housing interventions that prevent homelessness and support safe discharge. The role combines strategic development with day-to-day service coordination, partnership working with local authorities and voluntary sector organisations, and contribution to service transformation. You will play a key role in shaping housing practice across the Trust and supporting innovative pathways that improve patient outcomes.

Why join Sussex Partnership?

You’ll be joining an organisation that actively supports flexible working, invests in professional development, encourages innovation, and values compassionate, inclusive leadership.

Why Sussex?

You’ll be working across Sussex – offering a mix of coastal towns, countryside and vibrant cities, with strong transport links to London and Gatwick, making it an attractive region whether you’re local or considering a move.
