About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Team Leader to join our Housing Services Team, focusing on Part 6 Allocations of the Housing Act to lead frontline delivery of statutory housing service within a fast‑paced and challenging operational environment, passionate about delivering person‑centred, trauma‑informed support.

You will be responsible for overseeing allocations policy implementation, managing the Choice Based Lettings (CBL) process, and leading a team delivering fair, transparent and legally compliant access to social housing.

Importantly you will work collaboratively with Registered Providers of Social Housing. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity of the allocations system while balancing housing need, demand pressures and customer expectations.

The council is not currently able to offer sponsorship in this role. Candidates will need to have right to work that enables them to commit to at least 6 months employment. Right to work is not transferable from a sponsored role held with another employer.
