Audio Typist - Oncology | Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

An opportunity has arisen within the Oncology Directorate for an Audio Typist to join the team. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day typing of clinical information, including clinic letters, reports and general correspondence, and will perform general administrative duties within the team and office environment.

You will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be flexible in approach, and be able to maintain a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity. Fundamental to this post is the ability to multi‑task and effectively manage your workload to meet tight deadlines.

This position will be based at Royal Preston Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with a range of staff, users and visitors to the Trust/Department, utilising a variety of communication methods – including verbal, electronic and passing information in a format appropriate to the individual request.
• Typing of letters or other correspondence.
• Printing, folding of the typed letters, and arranging for post to be sent out to all relevant correspondents.
• Referring any enquiries to the appropriate person/s if necessary.
