Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 (DOE)
A well‑established Thames Valley firm is looking to appoint an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its growing disputes team. The role focuses on advising clients on a wide range of private wealth disputes, including challenges to wills, estate administration issues, and claims involving trusts and inheritance.
You will take responsibility for a varied caseload, managing your own files independently while working closely with senior colleagues on more complex and sensitive matters. The role offers regular client contact and requires a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to often delicate situations. In addition to casework, you will contribute to the practice through client relationship management and participation in networking and business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least four years of post‑qualification experience in contentious probate or private wealth disputes. You will have a solid grounding in handling disputes relating to estates and trusts, with the ability to manage matters effectively from initial instruction through to resolution. Strong interpersonal skills, a sensitive and professional approach to client care, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly are essential. A proactive attitude, sound organisational skills, and an interest in business development are also important. An ACTAPS qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
Long‑established with a strong presence in Berkshire, the firm has a recognised reputation for dispute resolution work and a supportive culture that encourages collaborative practice and genuine opportunities for career progression.
Competitive salary of £60,000 – £75,000 (DOE) together with a discretionary bonus scheme, hybrid working arrangements, generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, private medical options, and a range of additional benefits supporting professional development and wellbeing.
At eNL we value diversity and inclusion. We want to attract people at all levels and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates whatever your ethnicity, religion, age, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any characteristics protected by law in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
