Role Overview

The Rheumatology service cross bay has an exciting opportunity for a 30 hours per week Clinical nurse specialist secondment post. Primarily based at Furness General Hospital in Barrow in Furness, but you may be required to work flexibly across our services supporting our other sites.

UHMBT is situated on the southern edge of the Lake district with convenient links to the major cities in the north of England.

Responsibilities

• Support the Rheumatology service across Morecambe Bay.
• Run own nurse led clinic, either face to face or remotely.
• Triage concerns from patients or other medical professionals via the Rheumatology answer phone or emails.
• Provide opportunities for professional development such as obtaining the non-medical prescribing qualification.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management experience or proven capability of managing own workload.
• Ideally you will have a degree or have completed recent higher models of learning through University.
