Job Summary

Applications are invited to the post of Locum Consultant in Reproductive Medicine at Cambridge IVF, Kefford House, Maris Lane, Cambridge CB2 9LG and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. This post is for 6 months commencing ASAP.

The majority of the work will comprise informal discussions with patients prior to treatment, consultations and diagnosis. Cambridge IVF is aiming to achieve the best success rates in Europe and provide IVF at an affordable price. This approach has led to the service growing very rapidly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct informal discussions with patients prior to treatment.
• Provide consultations and diagnosis in Reproductive Medicine.
• Work at Cambridge IVF and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the GMC.
• Holder of an CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
• Demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
• Non‑UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
