STRABAG UK are seeking a skilled and motivated Planner to join our Infrastructure Division and play a key role in the successful delivery of major civil engineering, infrastructure, and mining projects.

Qualifications
- CSEF Mandatory Skills
- Membership of Professional Institution
- Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering orappropriate professional qualification.
- Competence in appropriate Planning software
- Experiencewithin appropriate construction environments.
- Activeexperience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in bothtendering and contract delivery.
- Aclear understanding and working knowledge of the commercial and contractualprocesses within the planning function.
- Ability toresource and cost load programmes and produce outputs to clearly demonstratethis information to others.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Understandingof the benefits of the use of BIM and 4D planning.
- Knowledgeof Safety, Environment and Risk Management.
- A workingknowledge and appreciation of the contracts the business operates within.
- Experience in the use of TILOS software.
- Experience of managing QSRA
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience in Risk Management
Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to project start-up/close/mid meetings.
- Undertakesite visits to review site progress.
- Review the Employer’s Requirements, Contract Data and Works Information and associated information and highlight any deficiencies/omissions noted.
- Prepare and maintain detailedengineering, procurement and construction schedules including monitoring and analysis of critical path and project float.
- Contribute to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
- Progress monitoring and regular updating of the construction programme, including forecasting of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures to the senior planning team/Project Manager.
- Producreports and programme narratives to the defined project reportingrequirements.
- Produceprogrammes, reports and / or extract filters as required by the projectteam, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme.
- Develop resource histograms to demonstrate project prelims, labour, materials and plant requirements as required.
- Preparingshort-term programmes in conjunction with the project team.Includecost data into the programme and produce cash flow forecasts.
- Provideadvice to the project team of when it is likely that there will be delaysto the critical path and the potential impact this will result in.
- Production of phasing diagrams, narratives or presentations to demonstrate strategy and sequence as required.
- Coordinatedesigners and other supplier’s works and integrate into the projectprogramme.
- In conjunction with Commercialand Project teams develop the programme for change events.
- Monitor productivity todetermine trends and to assist in forecasting.
- Interfacing with other functional teams including, but not limited to: BIM team, design team, estimation and construction execution.
- Compliance with the STRA-PLAN procedures and guidelines.
- Provide productivity as-built data accumulated from the works to allow feedback to the Business Development team and availability to the wider Planning team.
- Encourage sharing of information and best practise and communication between Business Units.
- Reporting of data and progress to the Planning Manager.
