An exciting opportunity has arisen within Nayland ward for a Band 6 to join our dynamic friendly team as a Deputy Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse.

Ward Information

Nayland ward is a short‑stay Acute medical ward with 29 beds. Patients are admitted and discharged within 3–5 days.

Job Highlights

• Fixed term/internal secondment until 27th March 2027
• Internal rotation to nights, weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities & Duties

We will provide detailed responsibilities in the attached job description. In summary, duties include leading the clinical team, ensuring best practice and high standards of care, supporting staff development, and maintaining compliance with Trust standards.

Qualifications & Attributes

• Band 6 nurse with experience in acute medical settings
• Strong communication skills and dynamic, enthusiastic leadership
• Motivation to further develop and lead
• Ability to work fast‑paced environments, inclusive of nights and weekends
