Senior Clinical Fellow ST3-5 - Plastic surgery | Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for a Clinical Fellow in Plastics based at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust to join our busy department.

Job Overview

The role involves assessment, care, and treatment of patients referred to the specialty, participation in outpatient clinics and theatre sessions, attendance at weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and contribution to teaching and training of medical and support staff including trainees and students. The successful candidate will also support audit, governance, and service improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage both elective and emergency plastic surgery cases.
• Participate in outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
• Attend weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
• Contribute to audit, quality assurance, and service improvement activities.
• Teach and supervise junior doctors, medical students, and support staff.
• Participate in the non‑resident on‑call rota for emergency plastic surgery, remaining within 30 minutes of the hospital.
• Maintain professional development through continuous medical education, appraisals, and research/audit projects.

Working Conditions

The position is non‑resident on call; flexibility is required to meet service needs. The post holder will work flexibly to support the wider objectives of the Trust.
