What will you be doing?
- Protect the safety, health and wellbeing of residents and visitors to East Lindsey through compliance and enforcement activities.
- Undertake food safety and health & safety inspections.
- Manage complaints and investigate infectious disease cases.
- Conduct sampling and initiate remedial action, including the issue of informal and statutory notices.
- Attend court when required.
What do we need from you?
- Hold the Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Food Control/Premise Inspection or equivalent, recognised by the CIEH.
- Hold a BSc or MSc (Hons) in Environmental Health accredited by CIEH, or equivalent.
- Hold EHRB or CIEH registration, or be working towards registration by completion of the CIEH Environmental Health Professional Pathway or Competency Development Portfolio.
- Have experience of carrying out food safety official controls in a local authority environment.
- Manage a varied workload including inspections, investigations and business advice.
