Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Environmental Protection Team, which within Regulatory Services and Health. The position is for 1 full time post, which is 37 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Handling complaints of statutory nuisance (i.e. noise, odour, dust, smoke etc.), public health, pest control and waste of private land relating to both domestic and commercial premises.
- Interpret legislation and guidance and have experience of undertaking investigations, gathering evidence and presenting evidence to support formal enforcement action.
- Represent the team at meetings and working groups and disseminate information to others in the team.
Requirements / Qualifications
- A relevant qualification and/or experience pertaining to the work undertaken;
- A high degree of interpersonal skills;
- Ability to prioritise cases and workloads;
- The ability to converse at ease with both internal and external customers;
- A flexible approach to work.
