Overview
Appointments will be made in line with the stated salary scale, and with regards to the candidate's previous experience on Locally employed doctor Grade MT02 - MT04. The Clinical Teaching Fellow (SGU) post has been established to develop the career of a clinician with an interest in Medical Education. The post is full time and available for one year, with no on‑call commitments.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the delivery of teaching and assessments for medical students and support their learning during clinical placements at the Trust.
- Support the delivery and coordination of high‑quality clinical education for SGU medical students, working closely with clinical teams across the Trust.
- Organise bedside teaching, simulation sessions and clinical skills training, and develop and deliver tutorials and lectures.
- Provide pastoral and academic support to students, liaise with educational supervisors, and coordinate access to learning resources.
- Support the organisation of UCL medical student OSCEs, recruit and supervise resident doctor teaching leads, and contribute to the professional development of clinical educators through feedback and peer observation.
- Evaluate teaching through student feedback, participate in educational quality improvement activity and be encouraged to pursue research opportunities.
