We are seeking a committed and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team in a specialist primary setting supporting pupils with SEMH and associated challenges. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals and small groups, including covering classes when required
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teachers to plan, adapt, and evaluate learning
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Contribute to behaviour support strategies and pastoral care
• Collaborate with staff, families, and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA status or experience covering lessons in the UK (PPA cover, Cover Supervisors or covering teachers absence), at primary level
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, flexible, and resilient attitude
• A genuine commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
