Secondary School History Teacher

An exciting opportunity is available for a fully qualified History Teacher to join a supportive and well-established secondary school in Trafford, Manchester from September 2026. This is a full-time position, ideal for a passionate educator committed to delivering engaging and high-quality history lessons.

You will join a collaborative Humanities team that values strong subject expertise, inclusive teaching approaches, and consistently high expectations for learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of historical concepts and events
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school activities
• Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A degree or specialism in History
• Experience teaching History at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
• A commitment to pupil progress and high educational standards
• The ability to commute to or be based in Trafford, Manchester
