English Teacher (SEMH) – ChorleyFull-Time | M1–M6 Pay Scale | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

A specialist SEMH provision in Chorley is looking to appoint an engaging and adaptable English Teacher to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in a small, supportive setting where you can prioritise individual progress, build strong relationships, and deliver meaningful learning experiences.

The Role:

• Deliver English across KS3 and KS4 to very small classes (typically 3 pupils)
• Reduced teaching timetable, with dedicated PPA and planning time built into the school day
• Support pupils across additional subject areas and contribute to the wider school environment
• Work closely with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Foster a structured, calm and engaging learning space

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred)
• Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level
• Confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs or similar challenges
• Flexible and willing to contribute beyond your subject specialism
• Resilient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships quickly
• Outgoing and adaptable in a dynamic school environment
