Teaching Assistant
Location: Runcorn, Cheshire
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience and role
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Day-to-day opportunities available
The Role
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support schools across Runcorn. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development by working closely with teachers and supporting children in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
- Relevant TA qualification preferred, but not essential
