Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3 English Teacher

Start Date: September 2026Location: Crawley, West SussexContract: Full-time (part-time considered)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 English Teacher to join our school community from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire pupils across upper primary and lower secondary phases, fostering a love of reading, writing, and spoken language.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons that support pupils’ academic progress and personal development, while contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and inclusion
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at KS2 and/or KS3 (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• A proactive, reflective, and team-oriented approach
