School Caretakers – Doncaster
Long-term & Short-term Assignments Available
Reed Education is currently recruiting School Caretakers to support a range of schools across Doncaster. We have a variety of long-term and short-term opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your availability, including split shifts and full-day roles.
Pay
- From £14.50 per hour, depending on experience and role requirements
The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained. Responsibilities may include:
- Opening and closing school buildings
- Carrying out basic repairs, maintenance, and DIY tasks
- Monitoring site security and responding to alarms
- Supporting health and safety compliance on site
- Liaising with school staff, contractors, and visitors
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or caretaking
- Strong DIY and maintenance skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to use initiative
- Willingness and ability to obtain a full Enhanced DBS check
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of:
- COSHH
- Asbestos awareness
- Fire safety and compliance
