At Reed Education, we are working closely with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Barnsley area, and we are now looking to appoint skilled and reliable Teaching Assistants to support Early Years, KS1, and KS2 pupils.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
• Support children with varying learning needs, including SEND where required
• Help create a positive, safe, and motivating classroom environment
• Contribute to pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing

Roles are available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference.

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who:

• Have previous, hands-on experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
• Hold relevant qualifications (such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent)
• Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Are patient, proactive, and genuinely passionate about supporting children
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Are reliable, professional, and ready to hit the ground running
