Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Ballymena, Co Antrim
We are hiring for our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing organisation based in Ballymena, Co. Antrim, who are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their expanding team. This Manufacturing Engineer job offers the opportunity to play a key role in optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and supporting the delivery of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
The successful Manufacturing Engineer will focus on driving continuous improvement, enhancing production capabilities, and introducing innovative solutions to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness across operations.
* Analyse production systems to identify inefficiencies and drive waste reduction initiatives
* Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies
* Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to full production
* Lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities and resolve manufacturing challenges
* Optimise facility layouts, workflows, and material flow to improve efficiency
* Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues
* Develop Standard Work Instructions and process documentation
* Design and oversee tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support production
* Ensure processes meet safety and quality standards
* Improve lineside presentation and material routing strategies
* Third level qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or similar
* Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
* Strong experience in problem solving within production settings
* Proven ability to lead projects and drive improvements
* Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office
* Experience with 3D modelling and MRP systems (Sage or IFS desirable)
* Good understanding of engineering drawings
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process optimisation
