Family Court Advisers - London (Croydon & Grays)

Are you a skilled Social Worker with a talent for court-focused assessments? Cafcass is looking for at least 5 experienced professionals to join their London teams. With a focus on Private Law and a highly competitive rate, this is an ideal move for practitioners who excel in analytical writing and independent working.

The Details

• Pay Rate: £37.50 per hour (Umbrella). Potentially up to £39ph (experience dependent).
• Locations: Croydon or Grays (Essex).
• Working Style: Hybrid. Manage your own diary with the flexibility to work from home between visits and hearings.
• Commute:Non-drivers welcome! Given the London/Greater London locations, these roles are accessible via public transport.

The Role

You will be focused on Private Law proceedings, specifically:

• Managing a consistent caseload of 7 x Section 7 reports per month.
• Providing high-quality assessments to the court regarding child arrangements.
• Conducting safeguarding checks and advising on the best interests of the child.

Requirements

• Social Work England Registration.
• Essential: Recent experience writing Section 7 reports.
• Alternative: Candidates from Child Protection (S47) or Child in Need (S17) backgrounds with significant experience writing court reports and attending hearings will be considered.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet strict court deadlines.
