Role Description
We are seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of construction projects. You will play a key role in cost control, procurement, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans
- Assist with tendering and procurement of subcontractors
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports
- Manage variations, valuations, and interim applications
- Support the preparation of final accounts
- Work closely with site teams to track progress and costs
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 3–6 years’ experience, ideally within a main contractor environment
- Strong understanding of UK construction practices and contracts
- Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Authorisation to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects in London
- Progressing toward or holding Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accreditation
