OBJECTIVE OF THE HOME:

OurobjectiveinTowellHouseResidentialHomeistoestablishaholisticapproach,providing person centred care to residents of the highest possible standard.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thepostholderwillbeexpectedtoworkwithintegrity,honesty,openness,accountability and respect. Be aware of issues relating to information and clinical governance, Human rights, health and safety and welfare of residents and colleagues.

Thepostholderwillassistwithorientationandintroductionofnewstaffmemberstothe home, promoting and taking part in a culture of continuous service improvement.

Communicateeffectivelyandmaintainproductiveworkingrelationshipswiththeteamand each other.

The Domestic Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness of the home and for the safe storage of all equipment and cleaning materials

MAIN DUTIES:
  1. Followdirectionsofthehousekeeper.
  2. Ensuringthatallliquids,cleaningmaterialsandsolventsarelockedawayatalltimes unless in use.
  3. Undertakinggeneralcleaningofallareas.
  4. Observingthecorrectuseandcareofequipment.
  5. ReportinganybreakdownsordefectsinmachineryormaterialstotheHouse Keeper/Maintenance Team.
  6. Knowing,understandingandimplementingthehomespoliciesandprocedures
  7. StrictadherencetoC.O.S.H.Hpolicy
  8. Toreportanyaccidents/incidentsimmediatelytothePersoninCharge.
  9. AdherencetoUniformPolicyatalltimes.
  10. Attendingandparticipatinginin-house/onlinetrainingforself-development.
  11. AssistinginotherareasasrequiredbyManagement.
  12. To attend and participate in all staff meetings
Essential:
  1. CandidatemustberesidentintheUKwiththerighttowork.
  2. ExcellentLiteracyandnumeracyskills
  3. Abilitytoremain calm instressfulsituations.
  4. Genuineinterestinworkingwithinacaringenvironment.
  5. Excellentcommunicationskills.
  6. Team player.
Desirable:
  1. Uptodaterecordsofmandatorytraining.
  2. Previous experience of working in a care setting
