Role
Lead Statutory Return and Report Officer – Fixed term or secondment (one year). You will work within the Data & Intelligence team in the People Department of Enfield Council, leading timely and accurate statutory returns submission, performance development and analysis service within the children’s social care and education services. You will support and improve processes around analysis and production of reports relating to the strategic direction of the People department and operational activity, ensuring timely and accurate production of management information.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the timely and accurate submission of statutory returns.
- Develop, produce, and analyse a wide range of reports using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Collate, manage and analyse data from various teams and services across the People directorate.
- Produce information reports for service performance, statutory returns and the improvement of outcomes for children and young people in Enfield.
- Check the quality of data, develop reports, generate insight to improve services and work with services to submit statutory returns.
- Improve data quality in the Liquidlogic Children’s Case Management and Access Synergy education systems.
- Communicate findings to a wide range of stakeholders and benchmark performance against national and regional peers.
Qualifications
- Experience in children social care and education systems.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and reporting programmes such as SQL, Business Objects, and Power BI.
- Strong backend SQL, MS Excel and Power BI report‑writing skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality issues within a statutory service framework and knowledge of the UK General Data Protection Regulation as it applies to client records and information sharing.
- Excellent inter‑personal and communication skills with experience presenting reports for a wide audience.
- Excellent oral and written literacy and numeracy skills.
