Senior Staff Nurse – General Surgery

Location: London – The London Bridge Hospital

Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Shift times: Monday – Sunday (flexibility required to work long days, nights and weekends)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive (DOE) plus 9 % shift allowance

We’re looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the General Surgery Inpatients Ward at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As the Senior Staff Nurse, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for colorectal, hepatobiliary, liver and renal transplants, maxillofacials, breast surgery patients alongside other general surgery specialities. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe, effective, and patient‑centred care throughout the patient journey.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for a range of surgical specialties.

• Provide safe and patient‑centred care throughout the patient journey.

What You’ll Bring

• NMC Registered Nurse with a valid UK PIN.
• Experience working within a surgical or acute care setting.
• Strong clinical and patient‑focused approach to care delivery.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
